My client is seeking a
Technical Senior Design Engineer
to join their Major Projects team. This role is critical to achieving their mission of 'making lasting connections with customers to improve their lives.' Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and deliver compliant and fit-for-purpose designs in line with business targets. Identify and address design-related costs and programme impacts. Provide design reviews for team members to ensure the quality of design packs. Participate in ongoing training to identify requirements and develop training programmes. Drive efficiency by monitoring team performance against productivity standards. About You:
Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification. Demonstrable experience within the ICP industry, delivering 11kV and 20kV complex designs. Experience in designing primary substations from 33kV to 132kV is advantageous. Previous experience in design project management. Working knowledge of AutoCAD/GIS, Trimble, IPSA, and Cableizer. Familiarity with current legislation, technical standards, codes of practice, and engineering recommendations. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring critical paths are met. Proactive, approachable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. What You Can Expect:
