Purpose of the Role The Technical SEO Manager will be joining a brilliant team of 22 Technical SEO specialists, working with an enviable list of international clients and household brands. You will be responsible for working with the SEO account teams in planning and delivering Technical SEO strategies for various global clients, as well as helping to drive Technical SEO expertise across the wider SEO team. You will have a chance to contribute to technicalseo.com and be encouraged to deepen your knowledge before sharing it with the industry. CLIENT DELIVERY Act as the Technical SEO expert on SEO accounts, guiding the technical strategy creation, timelines and delivery of recommendations Oversee and lead the implementation of technical SEO recommendations as well as provide clients with consultancy throughout Support the SEO account teams, building relationships with client stakeholders (across SEO and technical) Contribute to wider SEO strategy, tactics, reporting and meetings where relevant Contribute to new business pitches and our go-to-market strategy for SEO PRODUCT Contribute to team growth by sharing expertise, perspectives, and examples of exceptional deliverables as well as processes Help with running training sessions for the Technical SEO and wider SEO teams Work with directors to assist with pitches and new business ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written Able to confidently explain various aspects of Technical SEO to both internal teams and clients Own relationships with counterparts in other departments and experienced in working on cross-channel products Proven ability to delegate tasks accurately and effectively to other team members Curious and constantly willing to learn TECHNICAL SEO Good understanding of how Technical SEO impacts performance, and at least basic knowledge across key areas such as: Technical SEO Auditing Website Migrations International SEO and Hreflang SEO Processes and scaling them Globally Googlebot Indexation and Rendering (Client vs Server Side) Core Web Vitals / Site Speed Optimisation Popular CMS for E-Commerce TOOLS Strong understanding of Google Search Console, and other Google Tools such as Page Speed Insights, Lighthouse and Schema Testing Tool Hands-on experience with SEO crawling tools, in particular Screaming Frog and DeepCrawl Strong knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics packages What we offer This is a permanent role.
