This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of documentation relating to UK site operations, with a focus on food safety and product quality systems. Responsible for leading the technical services team while ensuring that compliance standards are fit for purpose. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance our quality manual.

What You Will Be Doing:

Coach and develop the team to promote a food safety and quality culture. In coordination with senior management, drive the food safety and quality culture plan for the UK sites. In coordination with the Site Technical Managers across the UK, lead the development and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System that meets legal requirements and complies with customer Codes of Practice and Guidelines. Lead the development and maintenance of an internal audit programme that challenges and enables the site to progress. Create, maintain, and develop the UK site's HACCP/TACCP/Allergen Risk assessments along with other technical-based risk assessments to achieve best practice, comply with international requirements, and mitigate risk. Establish and maintain an appropriate validation framework, enabling the technical systems team to conduct validation exercises and establish verification checks for relevant processes e.g., product distribution, blast freezers, etc. Generate Technical KPIs and create/maintain informative reports, including QC rejection rate, customer errors, serious/warm complaints, and internal audit performance including non-conformances. Supply data and information pertaining to trends and emerging issues to allow the Site Technical Manager and Supplier Technical team to suitably implement corrective and preventative actions. Support and lead investigations into non-conforming products and processes, collaborating with the Site Technical and Operations team to carry out root cause analysis, establishing robust corrective and preventative actions from a systems perspective.

Who You Are: Proven experience in a similar compliance role within the food industry. Proficiency in using quality management software or tools for data analysis and reporting. HACCP level 3. Food Safety level 3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards. Familiarity with HACCP and industry best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Location:

The Windmill 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW. There will also be an expectation to regularly visit our site in Banbury.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week 8am - 5pm.
