Role: Technical Support Engineer This is a key role with the industrial gearbox repair team, with prime responsibility to technically support the specialist repair facility for gearboxes and rotating equipment. What the role involves:
Provide internally based product, application and commercial support to ERIKS’ service centre network and customers. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Drives and Power Transmission core product range, specifically its features and benefits and the application of these product technologies in real-world situations in plant and machinery: Industrial Electric Motors Industrial Gearboxes Belt Drives Chain Drives Couplings Assist in driving profitable sales forward by identifying opportunities for private label and A brand product sales and associated products within the Drives and Power Transmission range. In-house support for the Centre of Expertise Gearbox specialist team in the assessment / analysis / order and supply of completed drive assemblies new and repair. Carry out support within the team, assisting in the dismantling, inspection, rectification, and condition reporting of equipment in a workshop environment. Provide front line fault analysis and rectification of issues both electrically and mechanically. Identify and rectify issues associated with the equipment. Provide emergency repair service to customers as required. Participate in call out rota as required. Work on-site as well as in the workshop. Ensure high levels of customer service at all times. Work within the current health and safety guidelines and site requirements. Contribute to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace. Good team working skills.
