Our exclusive partnership with Parr Instrument Company ensures market leadership in laboratory-scale pressure reaction vessels and systems. The Role As part of SciMed’s continued growth, we are recruiting for a newly created role of Parr Pressure Vessel System Support Engineer. This position is to work alongside the 2 Sales Product Managers supporting them in the sales, implementation, and after-sales field service of all Parr pressure vessel projects and installations. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for pressure-rated systems, including design, operation, and maintenance. Diagnose system issues and recommend solutions for safe, optimal performance. Oversee successful installation and commissioning of systems, including site surveys and equipment procurement. Use CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and process diagrams. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as PED and PSSRs. Deliver on-site and remote technical support, performance testing, and customer training. Build strong relationships with clients, addressing technical queries and feedback. Support warehouse operations during holiday cover, including goods handling and documentation. The Ideal Candidate: You will be an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in pressure-rated systems. About you: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering (or related field). Experience with pressure vessels and pressure-rated equipment. Proficiency in P&ID, PFD diagrams, and CAD design software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Full UK driving license with willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland. Familiarity with PED, ASME, and design codes such as PD5500 is desirable. Knowledge of materials science and process control systems is desirable. Ready to take the next step in your career?
