Technical Support Specialist Role Overview:

This position involves providing customer and sales support across all systems and products. The role requires technical expertise, particularly in CAD, to create bespoke drawings and details, assist with as-built drawing packages, and compile O&M manuals. Additionally, the role includes contributing to specification writing, supporting the marketing team with technical content, staying updated on regulatory changes, managing third-party product inquiries, and offering on-site technical support. Key Responsibilities: Provide customer and sales support for all systems and products. Utilize CAD to create custom drawings and details for as-built packages and O&M manuals. Assist in writing and approving bespoke roofing specifications in collaboration with the technical department. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and review technical content for various publications, articles, and marketing materials. Stay informed about changes in regulations and codes of practice, and report these updates to management. Manage third-party product and system inquiries through selected business partners. Offer on-site technical support to customers and the sales team. Respond to general technical inquiries from sales teams, contractors, and clients. Skills and Qualifications: Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideally, a solid technical understanding of commercial roofing systems. Proficiency in computer applications, including Office and CAD software. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within time constraints. Ability to manage pressure from a demanding sales environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Good understanding of building regulations, construction, and design principles. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Qualifications: No specific qualifications required, but a HND or equivalent in a construction-related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a construction-related role. Experience with CAD and construction-related tasks. Proven ability to work in a problem-solving environment. Physical and Environmental Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders and use access equipment on-site.
