As a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer, you will work within a 24 x 7 shift environment, following a continental shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 days off. Your primary responsibility will be providing high-quality service to our external customer base, as well as monitoring and managing faults through to resolution. We value a strong understanding of a variety of technologies, and while you may not need to possess comprehensive expertise in all areas, a willingness to expand your technical knowledge will be essential. This is a permanent position based in Harrogate, offering a competitive salary starting at £27,500 per annum, which increases to £30,000 after successfully completing a 6-month probation period. Additionally, there is a 20% shift allowance. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of broadband technologies, LAN/WAN networking, firewalls, and VoIP SIP telephony, along with experience in relevant software and tools. Certifications like Cisco CCNA and SIP School SSCA are desirable, while an understanding of ITIL Foundation is essential.
