Following the launch of the iconsys Academy, the Technical Training and Competence Manager is a PT position (2-3 days a week based in Telford) and is a new role to the organisation to support our culture of learning and development. Key Responsibilities

Accountable for designing exciting content for Moodle Workplace, the company’s LMS system, to support our learning and development OnBoardConnect strategy. Implement and deliver technical learning strategies. Manage training programs and develop employees’ skills and knowledge within the organisation to future-proof the business by developing the next generation of engineers. Conduct assessments of learning and development needs, deliver in-house training sessions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training. Hold proven experience in coaching and mentoring employees and in conducting effective learning interventions (i.e., traditional training, ‘on/off the job’ training). Help managers develop their teams through technical career pathing. Develop and implement learning strategies and programs. Assess the success of the learning and evaluate accordingly. Manage relationships with external vendors and consultant trainers. Track budgets and negotiate contracts. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mentoring, coaching, and teaching skills and delivering ‘on/off the job’ training interventions. Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems (at least 10 years) with specialised experience in the field of electrical engineering – Drives systems – PLCs, manufacturing environments, and on-site work.
