Smart Choice Training Academy is looking for a qualified electrical engineer to work as a Training Manager in our expanding Training Academy. The role would be responsible for inspiring and leading our learners to progression across a range of disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Training Academy management. Optimise, organise, develop, and deliver skills and underpinning knowledge throughout training programmes. Review and maintain course files, syllabi, and schemes of work. Contribute to, and support curriculum development activity. Ensure defined company and national contracted requirements for development are met. Assure, assess, instruct learners' skills, knowledge, and behaviours. Instruct new starters on all electrical testing procedures in line with regulations. Carry out assessments as per MOCOPA guidelines. Invigilate and mark exams in line with requirements. Track and monitor existing engineers' qualifications to ensure competency is current. Conduct internal quality assurance to maintain consistency and integrity in feedback and grading. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the training programmes. Liaise with and be the main point of contact for Accreditation bodies. Line manage a team of trainers, ensuring effective development and delivery of training programmes. Carry out drug testing and colour blindness tests. Qualifications and Education Requirements: TAQA. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. City & Guilds 2391. Competencies: Experience within the utilities industry desirable. Ability to work with employers, Human Resource team, Senior Management, and 3rd party partners to ensure all training requirements are met. An understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and training evaluation methods. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Proficiency in learner management systems (LMS). Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office experience.
