Technical Underwriter - Casualty
Fixed Term Contract - 12 months, with a view to extend by mutual consent.
Based in SouthEast London, near Bromley - Hybrid working - 3 days in, 2 days out.
Salary to circa £65k
We are recruiting for an experienced Casualty Underwriter, with experience of portfolio management, or working with binders and the management of profitability.
It is a varied role:
to include referrals from the UW team, helping to find the best way forward for the business, broker and client.
to work closely with the insurers to ensure continued profitability is secured.
to continually help to review the products, wordings, endorsements.
to continually review rating/pricing with insurers to balance competitive and profitable trading.
We are looking for an individual:
with strong experience of UK Commercial Casualty - whether in isolation or as part of a package.
who knows their way around a Casualty policy to help with the technical review of covers and extensions.
who can help the business respond quickly to cases that might be under attack, and who understands how to work with junior members of staff to coach them through referrals.
who can attend the office 3 days a week, with 2 WFH.
