Premier Engineering is currently working with an innovative Engineering company based in Hemel Hempstead. They are looking to bring on a Technical Writer to join their growing team and support their diverse range of engineering projects.
The Technical Writer will ideally have the following attributes: Proven experience in creating technical documentation for engineering or manufacturing companies. Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or equivalent. Familiarity with CAD drawings and engineering diagrams is advantageous (Inventor). Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly. A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience within Furniture design/knowledge. Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively. The Technical Writer role will involve: Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, service guides, and technical specifications. Collaborating closely with engineering teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation. Reviewing and updating existing documentation to align with current products and standards. Translating technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents for a range of audiences. Ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all technical materials. Supporting the creation of training materials and other communication tools as needed.
