Job Description

The Roadworks Control team is responsible for managing and coordinating all road works and road occupations within Glasgow in accordance with current legislation and the Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR). The Technician is responsible for the coordination of all road and infrastructure works carried out on the public road by Glasgow City Council, external contractors, and statutory undertakers. You will possess and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Previous experience with the Scottish Road Works Register, dealing with the public and statutory agencies, IT skills, and the ability to work alone or as part of a team is essential. A Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential.
