Dec 20 2024 The Technical function provides best in class processes that ensure the product inputs are understood and maintained through the product life-cycle within the wider manufacturing and production operations at the GSK Ware manufacturing Site. This entails all elements of the manufacture, testing and supply process from launch through to planned changes and to transfers. Job Purpose: Reporting to the Technical Manager (Early Lifecycle), you will provide scientific understanding of solid dose processes and products utilising this knowledge to lead technical execution of New product campaigns. In addition, you will be required to support product, process performance, and the resolution of technical issues for oral solid dose products. You will focus on a rolling 6 month to 2-year operational horizon to deliver site and technical aims to support the implementation of new products and processes at the Ware site. You will also provide technical support throughout development, validation and implementation phases. In delivering your role you will work closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, including Product Owners, Platform Leads/Managers, Technical Managers/Leads, and Lead Technologists. You will also support delivery of Product Lifecycle Management by monitoring product and process performance (including risk assessments, continuous improvement and product control strategies), as well as translate Control Strategies into standard work operations for GSK’s wider production systems (GPS). You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with good people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset. Ideally you will have experience / knowledge of product development and transfer and a track record in driving change. About Ware Manufacturing Site: Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form, and the site has circa 1,500 highly motivated and capable people working at it. The Ware site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in oral and solid dose forms, as well as operating a high-volume commercial production for respiratory devices. Basic Qualifications: Experience of working in a highly regulated technical industry (ideally the pharmaceutical industry) with relevant qualifications in Scientific, Technical, or Engineering discipline.
