Aegon's Technology department is hiring four innovative and ambitious summer interns for our 12-week placement. We're forming a Skunk Team - a creative, fast-moving group tasked with dreaming up bold ideas, tackling complex problems, and working experimentally to bring fresh perspectives to real-world challenges. This is your chance to collaborate, innovate, and make a difference in an environment that values curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. What will you do? Ideate:
Brainstorm wild innovative concepts to push the boundaries of technology. Prototype:
Develop and test experimental solutions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Collaborate:
Work closely with experts, mentors, and fellow interns on meaningful projects. Learn:

Ideally, you will also have experience in the following: ADX Frontend is Angular + TypeScript Custom component library A lot of Java 17 APIs running on Kubernetes Thin Node.js proxy services Small amount of Python code running on serverless AWS Lambda Hosted on AWS, configured using Terraform Pipelines are Jenkins MYLO Terraform for IaC iOS - Swift and SwiftUI Android - Kotlin and Jetpack Compose UI API testing - K6 using TypeScript You will be required to work 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday on an hourly rate of
£12.60 . We believe in hiring for potential. To help us find the best people, we ask all applicants for our Summer Interns to complete a short series of online tasks as the first step in our selection process. This is designed to find out more about you, your skills, and natural behaviours. You'll receive an email from our assessment partner (Arctic Shores) with details and an invitation to complete the tasks. These typically take 20-30 minutes and can be done on a variety of devices, including your phone. The legal bits We'll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
