Position Summary Samsung Electronics is the largest TV maker in the world and has occupied the number one position in the TV market for the last 16 years. New developments in consumer TV technology are increasingly leading the evolution of the creation and distribution of audio/video across broadcast and streaming platforms. Samsung is now seeking a Technology Marketing Manager to manage B2B relationships across Europe with content creators, broadcasters, and streaming platforms to promote Samsung strategic A/V technologies such as HDR10+ with a view to enabling new audio/video services to fully exploit the capabilities of future TV technologies. Role and Responsibilities The BDIA Team at Samsung Research UK drives Samsung’s European TV strategy by: Managing strategic relationships with content creators and service providers Incubation of new technology and services move from R&D into market deployment Representing Samsung in TV Standards Development at EU and National Level Representing Samsung in Regulatory activities at an EU and National Level We are looking for a dynamic and creative Technology Marketing Manager who is passionate about the TV and has a strategic understanding of how the industry will evolve in the future. As the Technology Marketing Manager you will: Work with Samsung R&D to understand future TV technology roadmap Develop “go to market” plans to promote future TV technology to the EU TV industry Engage with EU content providers on how to create content for future TV products Engage with Broadcast/Streaming platforms on how to deliver services for future TV products All work is to be of a professional standard, paying due regard to safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, time scales, and the needs of the Company. Skills and Qualifications Required Skills BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline Solid understanding of audio/video fundamentals Good understanding of content creation workflow, Production through Distribution Good understanding of audio/video distribution, baseband through video encoding, CDN, broadcast Able to represent Samsung professionally in external engagements with 3rd parties and strategic partners An effective communicator able to clearly present at external events and conferences Ability to create meaningful, engaging presentations and deliver them to diverse audiences Ability to develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives Willingness to travel internationally to support business needs. Desirable Skills Experience of working on a B2B basis in content creation or broadcast/streaming industries Familiarity with consumer TV technologies Contract Type:
