As a second-line control function, the technology and operational risk team focuses on: Holistic and global oversight across all our offices and the operational, technology and info sec risk they are exposed to. Providing challenges to how the first line is managing their risk and identifying additional areas for assistance. Acting as advisors by applying lessons from other parts of the business and our understanding to business areas. Providing a framework and a system that enables the first line to manage its risks in a standardized way. This position would be on the advisory side of the team. What you’ll do
Help the first and second-line implementation team understand the operational, technology and information security frameworks and their best implementation. Interrogate our data looking for themes, oddities, and quality enhancements. Own processes such as capital modeling or algorithm testing & validation and challenge the status quo by looking to streamline or enhance. Own workstreams or lead from a risk side for incoming regulation changes and business developments. Liaise with teams across all of IG’s 19 offices and three service centers to understand their exposure to risk and help them manage it. What you’ll need for this role
You will need experience in non-financial risk management, ideally in a fintech firm. You should have a track record of decisiveness, proactiveness and accountability for your workstreams. You will need to be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize effectively: Communicate well and clearly explain complex items. Independently produce reports and analyses for senior management and the Board. Network, build relationships, and influence people of all seniorities. Challenge current processes and seek improvements based on your experience. Interrogate and analyze data. The perks:
