Telco Solution Architect - SC Cleared Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Telco Solution Architect - SC Cleared for a 2 year contract based in either London or Manchester. *** INSIDE IR35 *** *** MUST HOLD ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE *** The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing solutions for value for money, assuring technical designs, and interfacing with telecom operators. This role does not require designing solutions or programming but demands a good understanding of telecoms network infrastructure and applications. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Design Assurance:

Review the integrity and quality of technical designs, ensuring they meet the organizational requirements. Assess proposed solutions for Value for Money:

Evaluate proposed High-Level and Low-Level designs to ensure they provide value for money, considering the lifetime cost/benefit. Interface with Telecom Operators:

Act as the primary point of contact with specific telecom operators, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Compliance:

Ensure solutions comply with relevant industry standards, good practice, and legal requirements. Refer appropriate matters to other relevant parts of the organisation where necessary. Required Skills and Experience:

Telecom Network Infrastructure:

Comprehensive understanding of telecom network infrastructure. Quality Assurance:

Experience of Governance and Assurance roles. Telecom Industry Applications:

Familiarity with typical telecom industry applications and their integration within network infrastructure. Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess competing solutions and make appropriate recommendations based on technical merit. Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with various stakeholders, including telecom operators and internal teams. Software Engineering Background:

Proven experience in software engineering, with an understanding of software development principles and practices. Cloud Experience:

Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Certifications:

Relevant telecoms and cloud industry certifications are desirable. Commercial:

Some commercial experience is desirable but not essential. Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the telecom industry. Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are desirable.
