Main Purpose of the Job We are seeking a Telecoms Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic finance professional to gain hands-on experience in project accounting within the fast-paced telecoms industry. Support the Telecoms team by providing strong financial management of Telecoms projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Financial Management:

Assist in the financial management of telecom projects, ensuring accurate accounting and timely reporting. Support in preparing project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking for multiple telecoms projects. Monitor project expenditures against budgets and highlight variances to the Operations team.

Cost Control and Analysis:

Track project-related expenses, ensuring they align with approved budgets and contractual agreements. Assist in the analysis of cost trends and provide insight into cost overruns, savings, or risks. Work with project managers to ensure costs are properly allocated and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Revenue Recognition:

Assist in the calculation and recognition of project revenue in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Ensure project billing is completed on time, and revenue is correctly recorded based on project milestones and customer contracts.

Project Accounting Support:

Assist in maintaining accurate project accounting records, including the posting of project-related invoices, costs, and revenues. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including project reporting, reconciliations, and accruals. Support in preparing project financial statements and internal financial reports for senior management.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare periodic project reports including budget vs. actual, profit and loss, cash flow projections, and project performance KPIs. Support the preparation of financial data for internal and external audits related to telecoms projects. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and mitigate financial risks. Manage internal reporting tasks to all stakeholders – management, investors, and external bodies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and updates on project status. Support communication between the finance team and operational teams to ensure alignment on project financial objectives. Assist in resolving any project-related finance issues, including queries from project teams and suppliers.

Qualifications: Must be either qualified in or working towards a professional qualification (e.g., CIMA or ACCA). Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Job Types:
