We are recruiting for three part-time Digital Learning Designer roles for our College of Business and Law (CBL) and College of Health, Science & Society (CHSS). There are three roles: One role is for 20 hours per week; the second role is for 22.5 hours per week and the third is for 30 hours per week. All roles are 6-month fixed-term contracts. The role will involve: Becoming fluent with UWE’s core tool set in order to support staff and identify the best ways of meeting their learning and teaching needs. Supporting ongoing technological transitions and rollouts. Communicating with academic staff in a variety of ways, including emails, face-to-face, blog posts, training, and workshops. Providing expertise in digital learning and teaching as part of Learning Design workshops. Advocating for and embedding digital skills, inclusivity, and accessibility in everything we do. Exploring data analytics and other forms of evidence to back up best practice. A willingness to undertake CPD and horizon scanning activities and share learnings with others. About you: You are ambitious, inclusive, innovative, collaborative, and enterprising. You are interested in technology, are a fast learner and possibly, but not exclusively, from a teaching, training, or mentoring background. You have high attention to detail and have comprehensive IT literacy. You have excellent communication skills and are able to work both independently and as part of a team. Where is this role based? This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed. Although based at Frenchay campus, this role will include occasional working at our City Campus in Bristol city centre, which comprises of Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island, and Watershed.
