A growing manufacturer in East Yorkshire requires a Finance Director for 3-6 months

A growing manufacturer is looking for a Group Finance Director to report directly to the Group CFO on a temporary basis until March-June 2025. You will have Financial Controllers and the Reporting Manager reporting directly into yourself and be part of a strong finance team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

To ensure the complete, accurate and timely reporting of financial results, ensuring compliance on all bank covenant, audit, tax and miscellaneous reporting matters. To ensure cash management is maximised without damaging the operational efficiency of the group. Weekly cash reporting to the Executive Committee and to develop operational cash modelling and reporting. You will be technically confident and competent with the ability to deal with the challenges of an ambitious, growing group and whilst supporting the team with your knowledge you will also be prepared to take a hands-on approach when needed. Detailed knowledge of IFRS15 and how it applies in a rental and long-term contracting business is preferred. Knowledge of IFRS2, IFRS9, IFRS16, foreign exchange and consolidation accounting would also be helpful. A good understanding of Corporation Tax, Construction Industry VAT treatments and Construction Industry Scheme tax would also be beneficial. Provide strong leadership and management of financial controllers across the businesses within the group. Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors. Manage the relationships with external customers, suppliers and support mechanisms focusing on reducing risk profile for the group. Drive the business adoption of the newly implemented IFS ERP system, initially in terms of post go-live stability but in time ensuring its future development in support of the CTO.
