I’m a mum to two boys aged 9 and 7, the oldest of whom has Asperger’s. We also have a small flock of chickens. As I have limited mobility and depression, and both my husband and I have Asperger’s, I would like your support with parenting tasks, meal preparation, and personal care. Location:
Scottow, NR10. Details: Supporting me to take my children out to the local park or to enjoy other activities further afield, including assisting me to keep them safe and entertained. Assisting me to provide stimulating activities for the children at home, such as playing in the garden or with their Lego or trainsets. Supporting me with food preparation, including cooking family meals. Supporting me with some domestic tasks. Assisting me with bathing and dressing as required. Person specification:
Listed below are the skills, competencies, and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application. Essential: Experience with Asperger's in both children and adults. Flexibility with hours of work. Non-smoker as I am hyper-sensitive to cigarette smoke. Own transport or local to Scottow. Summary terms and conditions: The rate of pay for this position is £12.75 per hour. You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. Hours and times of work: 24 hours per week, which can be arranged as a job share if you are unable to commit to all the hours. The required hours will be discussed at interview but will ideally include some sessions between 3:30pm-7:30pm. Weekend availability will also be helpful. Please state your availability on your application. This job is temporary until January 2025. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers. If this job requires Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals, and/or Food Handling you will be required to undertake annual training. You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. This post is subject to: A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
