This is a multifaceted role supporting people with underlying, multiple and/or complex needs facing multiple exclusion (substance abuse, mental health issues, disability, family breakdown, criminal justice system) to sustain their tenancy, prevent evictions, and identify housing solutions for those who find themselves homeless or vulnerably housed. About the Role As a Tenancy Engagement Worker, you will: Provide person-centered, trauma-informed support to clients with complex needs, including substance abuse, mental health issues, and histories with the criminal justice system. Liaise with Adult Social Care, Criminal Justice, Health services, and training agencies to maximise outcomes for clients. Encourage residents to develop routines and life skills, empowering them to maintain tenancy responsibilities and eventually transition to permanent housing. About You To excel in this role, you should have: GCSE-level qualifications or equivalent in English and Maths, with strong IT skills. Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and a creative approach to engagement. A thorough understanding of the Housing First model and the interplay between mental health, substance abuse, and offending behaviors. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with empathy, resilience, and a commitment to advocacy. A valid driving license and access to a car for client visits across Northamptonshire. Why Join Us? This role offers a meaningful, hands-on opportunity to support individuals in a dynamic work environment. We provide: 23 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. A supportive team culture and ongoing training to support your professional development. Make a real difference in people’s lives by helping them build sustainable tenancies and connect to their community. Apply today to join our team as a Tenancy Engagement Worker!
