About The Role

Overview

As a Lead planner your role will require you to work across multiple projects for both Tenders and Pre-construction phases, with a large variety of projects including Civils, Utilities and Infrastructure Projects.

Key Role Deliverables

Working closely with the preconstruction team to provide winning work programme strategies for tender submissions, ensuring all risk and opportunities are assessed within the programme.

Working collaboratively with internal and external teams.

Help in building a Tender Planning Team (Selection/Mentoring/Development).

Ensure an effective and professional planning and programming service is available for pre-contract and project teams, delivering consistency through all divisions of blu-3.

Lead programme meetings whether internally or presenting to clients including Tenders and Live Projects.

Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.

Establishing and agreeing with Operational Teams the construction outputs, key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning.

Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations and reports.

Any other reasonable requests as required by Management.

Minimum Qualifications Experience

A relevant degree qualification in engineering/construction or equivalent.

Operational experience (i.e. site engineer/agent) together with significant experience of planning services in medium to large projects in UK.

Tender planning experience.

Essential and Desirable Skills

Good working knowledge of planning and scheduling systems i.e. Primavera P6, Asta and MS Project.

Good communication skills, as well as commercial and financial awareness.

A good team player.

Solid knowledge of the design process, procurement routes and all-round construction.

A variety of performance measurement techniques such as critical path/progress analysis.
