Our nuclear and defence client is looking for a number of Tendering Engineers to work on a permanent basis supporting new sales and tenders activities. They are looking for candidates from an engineering background, either Electrical (EC&I) or Mechanical. Providing engineering support to the Business Winning function, including supporting the pre-qualification process and the production of the technical proposal with methodologies for all technical aspects of the project including but not limited to design, analysis, manufacture, assembly, testing, dismantling, transportation, installation and commissioning. The ability to form trusted and enduring relationships both internally and externally, with specific focus on our key clients and industry partnerships including Government bodies, forms an important element of the role. Responsibilities:

Working with the Key Account Manager to synthesise and progress the acquisition strategies that are to be used to pursue and capture opportunities. Once a tender (or pre-qualification) has been accepted, the Tender Technical Coordinator takes the responsibility for deploying the agreed strategy into the Engineered response, and to liaise with the Key Account Manager with any ongoing developments or changes. Develop the Tender quote based on the Instructions to Tender (ITT) information supplied by the client and where applicable taking into account the estimated value from Sales or a guide price from the customer. Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team. Liaise with other departments in order to complete the Tender, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality. Be customer facing and focused, supporting on-site meetings, Teams calls, and being a representative of the company. Read and understand Scopes of Work from multiple companies and customers to develop the tender response. Tender projects from £10k up to £30M+. Chair calls and meetings with customers. Develop the Tendering Procedures with the Business Winning Team. Develop concise Assumptions, Exclusions and Risk Registers for Tenders. Be commercially minded ensuring tenders are both achievable and also deliverable within budget. Be familiar with all phases of a project, from early contractor involvement through design, and into manufacturing, testing and installation, Tenders may cover one section, or start/finish part way through a project to suit customer needs. Understand company long term strategies, unique selling points and capabilities. Experience Required:

Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree Qualified (or Equivalent). Experience from a heavy manufacturing industry. Member of IMechE or IET (Chartered Engineer status preferred). Ability to understand and effectively communicate client’s high-level requirements and key drivers. Nuclear Industry Experience preferable. Management and control of Engineers and design teams. Specialism in one or more of the following areas: Pressure Systems Lifting Equipment Building Services Process Plant Heavy Engineering Plant Seniority Level:
