We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our team, responsible for driving D2B sales covering the Midlands Area (East and West). This is an exciting new role for an experienced salesperson with a background in the paint sector. You will promote and sell our brand to the independent merchant customer base. Responsibilities: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the assigned region. Develop and manage a business plan, targeting direct sales customers, and utilising your natural selling, negotiating, communication, and presentation skills. Specifically develop and grow accounts through targeted promotion activities, range selling, and merchandising initiatives, ensuring stock presence. Constantly review the profitability of customer files, and strategic customer target list, and plan your call activity accordingly. Grow, develop, maintain, and manage overall relationships with new and existing Trade customers in collaboration with the Head Office Sales Team. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Meet and exceed sales targets through effective planning, prospecting, and closing deals. Collaborate with internal teams to provide excellent customer service and address client requirements. Represent Tikkurila UK at industry events and trade shows. Requirements Minimum 3 years’ experience in the coatings industry. Proven experience in B2B sales or a sales role. Ability to facilitate technical support information relating to reactive customer requests. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Excellent time management and organisational abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic field environment. Full UK driving license. The role is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Note: This role requires time spent at customers’ job sites and business locations, including meeting with and further developing business customer relationships. Additionally, there will be a requirement for visits to store locations within the area.
