This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work within our SAP Delivery Area, which supports and implements Digital solutions for our prestigious public sector client. The flagship Capgemini Market Unit is one of the largest of its kind globally. The SAP Delivery Area is dynamic and fast-moving. In this role as a Test Analyst, you’ll make a positive contribution with a focus on preparation and execution of the test phases (using Test Automation) of one or more release-based projects. You will be involved in projects that are varied and challenging and require sound software and system testing skills. You will be applying your broad testing techniques to verify outcomes against the expected results and record results for use in audit trails, using quality processes and procedures.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
You will find this is a dynamic role with opportunities to develop IT expertise, as well as the client-facing soft skills you need to excel in consulting. Key responsibilities include: Perform test planning activities, including the ability to impact for test analysis, data preparation, and test execution of the proportion of work allocated to the sub-contractor for Systems Test (ST) stage. SAP Test Analyst to demonstrate understanding and experience of risk-based testing; able to identify risks, prioritise, and apply mitigation. Undertake test analysis, applying test techniques and using written test basis including Functional Specifications (FS), Use Cases, user requirements/stories, interface documents (Extended Physical Interface Definition Document (EPIDD) and API descriptions to identify appropriate tests that provide coverage of the change (using a risk-based test approach). Write formal, detailed test scripts that plan out the test execution by steps and verification points, or objectives if using a Test Charter, specifying test techniques to be used. Include test prerequisites, test data requirements, and priority. Provide traceability back to the test basis. As a vital part of our business unit, you’ll contribute to first-class end-to-end solutions in your assignments. SAP Test Analyst will execute tests as per the test script, or via Exploratory Test Charter, applying the techniques specified. Progress will be advised verbally and/or in writing via report templates, as per the local agreed process. SAP Test Analyst will collate evidence as per the verification points or test objectives stated. This will be in the form of screenshots, defects raised system output. All evidence is to be properly recorded, as per the local processes. SAP Test Analyst will formally update the test lead (or project representative) on test scripting, data preparation, and execution progress. This will be in writing via email, report templates, and/or verbally at daily standup meetings. You will also have plenty of opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters, Functional and Technical Leads, Architects, and Developers; as well as engaging with the client.
