Excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering company who seek an enthusiastic engineer to undertake a variety of electrical and mechanical test and commissioning. You will ensure products meet client requirements as well as some on-site commissioning and troubleshooting when required.

The role offers the opportunity to develop your skills into a supervisory role long term.

Responsibilities:

Undertaking a range of FAT and pre-commissioning to ensure the quality of manufactured equipment and anticipate installation issues. Testing and repairing a variety of mechanical and electrical components including control panels, wiring, machine controls, gearboxes, pipework, and plumbing. Electro-mechanical assembly of products. Build and test of prototypes. Working with design, engineering, and manufacturing to rectify build and design problems. Undertaking functional testing in accordance with specifications. Review and improve test procedures and work instructions where possible. Work with installation teams to overcome problems and attend customer sites when required.

Qualifications:

A fully qualified electrical engineer ideally apprentice trained with confident mechanical skills. Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Confident in reading, fault finding, and undertaking programming changes of PLCs, HMIs, & Robotics. Able to work to deadlines. Have excellent attention to detail and confident problem-solving skills. Be able to communicate at all levels. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Be familiar with manufacturing processes associated with wiring, assembly, testing, and fault finding. Full driving license (ideally clean).
