Controls Test & Validation Technician x2 £37,000 - £40,000 OTE c£60k+ Shropshire Ref: 24217 Thanks to both a high increase in workload and internal movement, this world leading supplier has immediate requirements for 2 Control Systems Technicians who are competent with fault finding & modification of Rockwell PLC's. Controls Test & Validation Technician - The Role: Test and validation of all systems and equipment at Shropshire base and international customer sites Commissioning of all automated system and equipment, including PLC & robot hardware/software Set-up of in-house system software and industrial PCs Conduct customer training & system servicing Modification of engineering drawings to support system build and to improve quality Completion of technical documentation including test plans and training modules Remote customer support - fault finding and diagnostics Controls Test & Validation Technician - The Person: Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings Hands-on experience in building electrical and mechanical equipment Degree or technically qualified to BEng / HNC in an electrical discipline or equivalent work experience Professional manner with good communication skills Flexible manner to adopt new challenges and input from peers and colleagues Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development Keen to accept responsibility and accountability Full UK valid driving licence & Passport You MUST be flexible for international travel. All Engineers are expected to spend 3-4 periods per year on site, for 3-4 weeks at a time. You will join a £27M turnover business who actively foster a supportive environment, and will provide assistance for anyone looking for Chartered status. Each project is bespoke with its own challenges. We are looking for innovative and dedicated Engineers who are keen to use their skills to their full potential. Engineers in this team have a direct route to develop into a full Control Systems Engineer.
