Due to internal promotion, a vacancy has arisen within the Ansty Test Facility for a Test Support Engineer. The successful candidate will be based at the Ansty Test Facility and will report directly to the Senior Operations Engineer. The primary function will be to ensure the Test Facility systems are maintained to the required standard and to act upon any plant and maintenance activities.

An overview of your day
Maintain the status of the Test Facility through calibration programmes and assist in the general maintenance of the Test Facility.
Be able to troubleshoot engine and test facility issues and provide solutions when required.
Specify, configure, validate and support Data Acquisition systems in terms of both the hardware and relevant software.
Responsible for the specification, design and installation of test facilities, instrumentation and equipment, ensuring compliance to all relevant regulations and insurance requirements.
Maintain and improve technical standards of all test facilities.
Responsible for the investigation repair and maintenance of electronic and computing hardware used with test facilities.
Responsible for the calibration of electronic measurement equipment providing system verification and uncertainty analysis service.
Maintain test/calibration databases for all instrumentation equipment and systems.
Undertake audits, technical assessments and validation of test facilities, systems and procedures.
What we need from you
Time served apprentice in relevant discipline.
Experienced background in Gas Turbine operation and performance.
Experience in calibration of systems within a Test Facility.
The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge and experience of working with PLC based control systems advantageous.
Comprehensive knowledge of QHSE procedures.
A35, A20 and Spey Product Knowledge and experience advantageous.
Applicants should also hold a current and valid Driving License and Passport, as domestic and overseas travel may be required.
