About the role: As the

Theatre Manager , you will deliver technical support in Performing Arts and manage all aspects of the Jellicoe Theatre/Stage Door kiosk, for students, staff and other stakeholders. Responsibilities as our Theatre Manager will include: Provide technical management and support to staff/students/stakeholders Liaise with college departments and external agencies to support the operation of the Jellicoe Manage the equipment store Manage the Jellicoe Theatre curriculum show schedule Manage the Jellicoe Theatre ‘box office’ bookings and liaising with show directors and students to ensure accurate show budgeting Devise, adapt and update risk assessments for equipment and events Maintain a comprehensive, and organised archive of student work to support internal and external standardisation. Annually audit the Performing Arts equipment inventory Liaise with external hirers/visiting companies to support any sound, lighting and technical requirements, within the boundaries of the equipment inventory To act as a Stage Manager for internal and external productions Securing of rights to present productions/performances from the theatrical licensing agent Locking up and securing of building, ensuring the security and safety of the department in the absence of college security staff To hold the necessary licenses for and manage all pyrotechnics/firearms storage and usage As our Theatre Manager, you’ll ideally have: Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Minimum level 3 in related subject Relevant and recent industry practice Experience working within receiving or production house theatre Experience setting up of and operation of lighting and sound equipment Experience in stage management Knowledge of health and safety at work Knowledge of running of a theatre Knowledge of industry specific software - Q-Lab Skilled in lighting design Skilled in sound design Benefits: 36.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays up to 4 days leave during the Christmas closure period Free parking at all of our college sites (where spaces are available) Access to Discount Schemes at multiple retailers Pension options Excellent support and career development with the help of our Teaching and Learning Coaches and Quality department Closing Date: 03 January 2025 If you feel you are the right candidate for this
