Scrub Theatre Practitioner The Portland Hospital Full time: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: Monday to Sunday, Early, Late (12.30-2100) and long days On calls: 1 week every 8-9 weeks Permanent Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowances + Generous Golden Hello. We are looking for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre department. The Portland Hospital is currently rated "Good" by the CQC and is part of the established leading private healthcare company, HCA Healthcare. The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children. We're the UK's largest private children's hospital with over 46 paediatric beds including a 10-bed intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a day case unit. Caring for over 40,000 children a year, we provide treatment for everything from general paediatric conditions to complex craniofacial reconstruction. As the only fully private maternity hospital in the UK, delivering over 1,600 babies a year, we place great importance on providing safe and high-quality care for expectant mothers. Both consultant-led and midwife-led maternity care is available. The five theatres at Portland provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology is second to none. As a Scrub Theatre Practitioner, you will be working as part of a team to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety for patients within the theatre unit. You will also actively contribute to maintaining an environment conducive to the delivery and promotion of high standards of patient care. What you'll bring: Current HCPC/NMC Registration Postgraduate experience in Theatres 2 years Scrub Operating Theatre experience covering a wide range of specialties. Gynae, Ortho, General, Cardiac experience.
