The role involves working a rota pattern across 7 days Monday - Sunday, including days and nights. Please note although this post is fixed term, there is a possibility it may become permanent in the future.

Main duties of the job Spread over three sites, Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh cover both acute and elective surgery with a wide procedure portfolio. Across our three theatre sites, teams work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques. On our Wigan site, we have our integrated laparoscopic theatre; our Wrightington site has invested in a surgical robot and our Leigh site is currently expanding to four operating theatres.
Here on the Wigan site, we undertake adult and paediatric elective and emergency surgery, with Wrightington and Leigh focusing on elective adult surgery. This vacancy is open to all internal and external candidates. Please note all candidates could be asked to work at another Trust site as required.
