We are welcoming applications for a dynamic and motivated registered practitioner to join our teams at Worthing and Southlands theatres. This is an ideal opportunity for a band 5 practitioner to advance their clinical skills, leadership, and support the lead practitioner. We are looking to offer positions on a rotation pathway across Ophthalmology, Day Surgery, and Main Theatres. Main duties of the job

Work within the multidisciplinary team in order to help achieve a high standard of patient care Contribute to good working relationships with all disciplines both within and outside the department Participate in regular staff meetings Ensure that the patient is treated with empathy and respect at all times Provide support and advocacy to the patient throughout their stay Participate in the promotion of the unit's philosophy Protect patient confidentiality and act according to the Data Protection Act Answer the telephone in a professional manner, communicating any messages or queries to the correct practitioners Be a skilled circulating and scrub practitioner and participate in the monitoring of the planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised patient care Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Be a skilled circulating and scrub practitioner and participate in the monitoring of the planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised patient care Be a skilled recovery practitioner as needed and participate in the monitoring of the planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised patient care Assisting all members of the theatre/recovery team as needed Accurately enter patients' details in the theatre register and on the theatre computer system Assist in the setting up of theatres/recovery; checking equipment and instruments for the session, liaising with the person in charge Maintain stock levels in theatres/recovery Assisting with the daily checks in theatres/recovery Assist as delegated in an emergency situation Operate complex medical devices and troubleshooting Supporting learners and new starters Processing the collection of complex specimens, ensuring accurate documentation Being part of complex procedures requiring two circulating or scrub practitioners, managing additional equipment and resources Work in environments with radioactive waste/x-ray and manage the risks Person specification

Interest in theatre work of any type Substantial experience as a band 5 Equality, diversity and Inclusion
