To assist in the running of the Technical Department (and sometimes the building’s maintenance). To assist the Technical & Facilities Manager. To work on a broad range of incoming and in-house productions, in a variety of job roles within technical theatre. To lead casuals and others as necessary during get-ins etc. The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be proficient in all aspects of technical theatre, including projection and A/V, lighting, sound, flying, get-ins/outs, and rigging. A bias in sound would be advantageous. The candidate will also be computer-literate, and able to work with associated software, including Q-Lab. A good knowledge of health and safety is desirable, as is a demonstrable ability in general maintenance. Also desirable would be a knowledge of (or qualification in) electrics. Attitude is important, as enthusiasm to learn and succeed is vital.
