At University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, we have a large and very friendly team of over 80 radiographers and Advanced Practitioners delivering high quality radiotherapy treatment to over 3500 cancer patients each year. The normal department working hours include 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 0700-2000 (Monday-Friday). We also provide on call services for MSCC patients during the weekend. Our department has a commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice through the provision of regular in-house training courses, access to external courses as well as regular supervision sessions, peer-support meetings and staff appraisal. WHAT YOU’LL DO To deliver radiotherapy treatment using available equipment, under the supervision of Band 6 Radiographers To calculate and record radiotherapy treatments accurately and maintain written records To be responsible for the well-being and care of patients during their radiotherapy To maintain all treatment records to department standards WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Enthusiastic individuals with a Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers Candidate should have a State Registration with the HCPC Excellent written and verbal English language skills Experience of a wide variety of Radiotherapy techniques & equipment Ability to communicate with a wide range of people Ability to work as a team member Ability to work under own initiative Be able to take instruction / directions and work within the confines of the role Trust Values

Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers State Registration with the HCPC Further study/training courses Previous or relevant experience necessary
