We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Band 3 Therapy Assistant to become part of a dynamic Orthopaedic Therapy team at Basingstoke Hospital. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and enthusiastic, seeking an opportunity to implement and progress rehabilitation programmes for ward-based patients. Your role will involve working alongside both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the patient pathway from admission to discharge to provide a safe and timely discharge from hospital. You can expect to receive a robust induction and competency training programme, further developed through regular training and supervision sessions with senior members of the team. We are happy to talk flexible working - all requests for flexible and part-time working will be considered. Main Duties of the Job

To provide a high standard of therapy assistant service to ward-based patients. To work with the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the implementation and progression of rehabilitation programmes. To enable patients to achieve their optimum level of independence in mobility and activities of daily living on the Orthopaedic wards. To be responsible for the continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. The post holder will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, assisting with specified duties and taking responsibility for planning his/her own work duties. About Us
