Full Time, £13.39 per hour

We are recruiting a Therapy Assistant with experience in Rehabilitation to work closely with the current Therapy Assistants and wider MDT of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Clinical Psychologist.

As a Therapy Assistant at The Marbrook Centre you will be a key member of the MDT providing rehabilitation to our residents. You will be carrying out treatment interventions as instructed by therapists, this may include exercise sessions, walking practice, supporting someone with washing and dressing, and aiding with their communication.

Working in a dynamic environment, you will be providing high quality treatment programmes under the supervision of the wider therapy team to individuals with a range of neurological conditions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with your patients and utilise an array of resources and up to date technology and run therapy group sessions and activities.

You will be enthusiastic with a positive outlook, and have a passion for enabling our residents to achieve their goals and maximise their independence. There will be opportunities to run/attend regular training, receive regular supervision and Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged and we hold weekly therapy team meetings and in-service training.

With excellent communication skills, you will also support the team with discharge planning, including liaison with outside agencies such as social services, equipment services and third sector organisations such as Stroke Association or Headway.

The Marbrook Centre is a specialist Neurological Rehabilitation provider in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. The centre provides intensive rehabilitation for people post-stroke, ABI, spinal injury, and many other conditions.
