As the Therapy Specialist you will work as part of a Team to provide clinical, technical and educational support to clinicians with Baxter’s range of surgical products, services and solutions within the OR setting. The primary focus of this role is to provide case support with clinical & product knowledge during evaluation and installation of new business and maintenance of existing business. You will be the key clinical contact in nominated accounts to support Baxter in achieving its commercial and sales objectives as well as being part of the team, building and driving UK wide educational support and strategies. We have vacancies covering the North region and Midlands / London area and there will be a requirement for extensive travel. Working closely with your Regional Teams supporting prioritised clinical product evaluations and Organisation wide system installations, as well as ongoing clinical support to maintain and grow Baxter’s existing customer base and portfolio. What you'll do:

Provide field/remote clinical & technical support during case cover to multi-disciplinary Surgical teams; Surgeons, Healthcare Professionals and support workers to ensure the correct use and application of Baxter’s products and solutions to improve patient safety, efficiency and outcomes. Attend cases face to face to advise, support and deliver successful product evaluations. Attend pre-planned training days to provide full in-service training on Baxter products and solutions pre and post-sale. Develop a deep understanding of the workflows and specialities of each hospital and business relationship e.g. through customer meetings, participation at Conferences and exhibitions, meetings with account managers, regional and national sales meetings - identifying key decision makers and customers to facilitate & develop future sales opportunities. Attend regular meetings with your account managers to plan and implement business and account plans. Contribute to Baxter’s marketing projects by staying up to date with the latest clinical evidence and competitor markets. Drive revenue opportunities through clinical roadshows or audit activity, recommending service or replacement where appropriate. Work closely with clinicians and other professional staff to find opportunities for case studies, endorsements and/or clinical papers. This will include identification and development of key opinion leaders. Produce and deliver training materials appropriate to the customer and solution. Maintain a knowledge of competitor products, evidence and positioning and provide comparative clinical performance data to the sales and marketing teams. What we need from you:

Registered NMC or HCPC with a minimum of 3 years’ experience post qualification in the Operating Room. If you have since moved into a Commercial role working in the OR, this would be an advantage - medical device experience including Theatre case cover across multiple specialities including Orthopaedics, Trauma, Gynae, General Surgery, Robotic Surgery. Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint with the ability to analyse data. The ideal candidate will have: A deep understanding of the NHS – workflows, partners. You will spend up to 80% of your time in the OR delivering case support so you will be knowledgeable and adept procedurally. An understanding of the close relationship between outstanding education and technical expertise for success. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and partnership, along with good business insight and commercial awareness. Demonstrable experience delivering training and education to individuals and larger audiences. Strong networking skills where partnership and influencing customers is key to success. Proficient at building robust relationships at all levels within the NHS. Good organisational & planning skills with the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
