Thermal Performance Engineer , you’ll join an innovative and dynamic group of specialists striving to push the limits of thermal efficiency and car performance. Working collaboratively across departments—including Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, Engine Systems, and Race Engineering—you’ll play a vital role in achieving our goal of consistently being a top-three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship. About the Role As part of this role, you will: Investigate performance limitations and opportunities through defining track, dyno, rig and simulation tests and highlight the findings in high-standard reports. Refine and develop our simulation models in Python, MATLAB and Modelica to capture current car physics and create new sim capabilities to test novel ideas for existing and future F1 cars. Leverage our simulation stack to help define future global performance targets and optimums. Optimise the vehicle thermal performance to the specific needs of each track through event prediction, support and correlation. Nurture and grow collaborations across departments and with our works PU manufacturer and contribute to global car performance generation. Chair, attend and proactively participate in meetings as required. Work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times and respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure. Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a collaborative and proactive mindset. You’ll need: Strong academic grounding

in Physics, Thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics, with a proven ability to model these in simulation environments. Software skills

in Python, MATLAB, or Modelica, with a passion for refining and innovating simulation capabilities. Problem-solving capability

across diverse technical challenges, along with the ability to interpret and leverage large datasets to extract trends. Strong interpersonal skills

to build effective working relationships across departments and confidently contribute under pressure. A

results-driven attitude , with confidence in decision-making and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience in high-level motorsport —preferred but not essential—experience within Formula 1 and/or as a Performance Engineer.
