About The Team: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Thermoforming Engineering Manager to lead a small team responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our thermoformer machine. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and adherence to production targets. The successful candidate will take ownership of the equipment, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in achieving operational excellence. What You Will Be Doing: Work in a hands-on manner to actively monitor, fault find and repair systems in order to provide a high level of equipment availability to internal customers. Perform troubleshooting of assigned out of service equipment and correct issues, act as an escalation point for technical operatives. Mentor all personnel in developing appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment specializing in fault finding, training, and documentation. Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events. Be the single threaded owner for water pack production for the UK, linking in with support functions such as inventory, planning, and operations. Who You Are: Proven experience as a skilled engineer, ideally with thermoforming or similar machinery. Experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment. Minimum Electrical or mechanical training NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience. Advanced understanding of PLCs and automated processes.
