Phoebe (19) is a lovely young lady who loves everything pink, glittery, and all things music and dance! Phoebe lives with her parents, younger siblings, and two very loving dogs (Labrador and Labradoodle) in Hildenborough. Phoebe has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, complex care/medical needs, epilepsy, is non-verbal, and has a visual impairment. All medication and fluids are administered via a PEG, she is oxygen-dependent overnight, and requires occasional suctioning. Phoebe's home is fully adapted, and she has her own area (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and therapy room) in her family home. Phoebe has a care team in place providing round-the-clock support (2:1 daytime and 1:1 waking night), and there is an opening for a Support Worker/Carer to join her team. All training is provided. Overview of Role:
The Carer will provide holistic support to Phoebe in all aspects of her health, care, and medical needs. Working alongside a team member, you will support and enable Phoebe to participate in activities, family life, hobbies, and social events. There is the opportunity to travel with the family to support Phoebe on her summer holidays. The successful Carer will be offered a full-time contract, working days on a rota basis, which will include some weekend days. All members of the team are expected to cover waking nights when staff are on leave, etc. The rota is provided a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. Who This Job Would Suit:
