About the Role: Insignis Talent are currently looking for a skilled Tool Maker to join a company, based in Havant, Hampshire. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-precision tools and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This permanent position involves working with a range of machines, including grinding, milling, and turning machines, to create tools and components to exact specifications. The role requires working with materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, carbon, and composites to ensure that tools meet the highest quality standards.

Flexibility is essential as the role may involve a variety of tasks depending on production needs. Attention to safety, precision, and meeting production goals is key. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings, tight tolerances, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Manufacture and maintain tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds using grinding, milling, turning, and other manual machining processes Work with high-resistance materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, and composites Use measuring equipment to ensure tools and components meet tight tolerances Follow engineering drawings and specifications to produce tools for production needs Communicate with operations teams to ensure tools are delivered on time and meet production requirements Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing tool-making processes and efficiency Adhere to all health and safety procedures in the workshop Perform any other duties as required Requirements: Experience in an Engineering environment is crucial Tool room experience Ability to work to small tolerances Prior experience in Grinding machines would be beneficial Ability to satisfy a security clearance check Why apply?
