Double Days £43K What You Will Do: Prepare and maintain existing tooling to meet precise requirements. Identify and rectify day-to-day tooling issues, implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure all production tooling is cleaned, safe, and production-ready, adhering to strict preventative maintenance processes. Support the coordination of engineering changes and assist in maintaining spare parts inventory. Design and make tools/templates for prototype parts, and verify conformance of machined/repaired tools to specifications. Provide feedback and record work undertaken to continually improve tool performance. What You Will Bring: Completion of a relevant time-served apprenticeship. Exceptional hand tool skills and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Experience with Toolroom equipment, including overhead cranes and inspection equipment. Proficiency in using milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and bench grinders. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
