The Opportunity/Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tooling Engineer to ensure that all Extrusion Tooling is maintained to the highest standard and prepared, providing optimum extrusion performance. Responsibilities will include: Ensuring that all extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard and prepared, providing optimum extrusion performance. Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of all tooling dies. Consistently reviewing our internal processes to support continuous improvement. Developing jigs, fixtures, and fittings for tools in line with production and customer requirements to support business objectives. Providing a “hands-on” leadership resource to support the management of the tool stores and assist with training and mentoring others as required. Shift and Pay: Monday-Friday 0730-1600 £43,000 per annum Attendance bonus: £300 per quarter (subject to 100% attendance) Requirements: Strong Health & Safety awareness, role-modelling good behaviour. Prior experience in a tooling/toolmaking role, using machine tools/tool room machines. Minimum level 3 engineering (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience working in an engineering environment. Ability to read and understand 2D tooling drawings. Hands-on experience in using machine tools (Turning, milling, drilling, etc.). High attention to detail. Evidenced experience of achieving production targets and assisting in the implementation of improvement plans. Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a team environment. Work mostly independently with minimal supervision, liaising with a range of internal departments and external suppliers, service providers, and customers utilizing effective communication across all functions.
