Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Tooling Engineer for one of our clients based in Consett.
As a Tooling Engineer you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage new project introduction on time to customer deadlines
Manage external toolmakers - introduction of all new tooling to customer milestone, tool spec, feasibility, DFM, GA approval tool design sign-off
Provide technical support to the production department
Manage all modifications to new and existing tooling within budget, liaise with customer and production to achieve approval
Requirements:
Previous knowledge in injection moulding tool design
knowledgeable of injection moulding process
Understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
High Standard of computer literacy
Methodical approach to problem solving
Hours of Work:
8am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday
8am - 14:00pm Friday
Salary:
GBP32,000 - GBP38,000 (Depending on experience)
