An experienced Toolmaker is required to join a well-equipped Toolroom that utilises the latest CAD/CAM software linked to CNC equipment, offering a seamless design and manufacturing process and service.
Serving a multitude of industries including medical, automotive and caps and closures, their expertise encompasses single impression moulds, complex multi-impression hot runner moulds and small, quick change modular tooling up to a size of 2 Tonnes.
As a Toolmaker, your duties will include:
Manufacture, modification, repair and fitting of Injection mould tools up to 2 Tonnes Use of manual milling machines, lathes (Hurco), cylindrical and surface grinders (Jones & Shipman) Use of manual and CNC spark eroders and CNC wire eroder (Sodick) Use of hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding In house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermil To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will:
Be a time served / apprentice trained Toolmaker Have a strong background in injection mould tool manufacture, repair, and maintenance Have experience of single impression and complex multi-impression hot runner moulds Have experience in general toolmaking, manual milling, turning, grinding, fitting, EDM Wire and spark erosion Be conversant with CAD/CAM software packages Ideally be capable of CNC CAM Programming On offer:
