My client is an established engineering manufacturing firm based in Hertford and commutable from Stevenage, Luton, St Albans, Hatfield, Harlow and Buntingford.
They are currently looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join their team.
The Role: Toolmaker/Skilled Machinist
Service, maintain and repair mould tools Working from drawings Quality control of components Manual Milling Various duties such as drilling, spark eroding, polishing and milling Surface grinding
Minimum Skills / Experience Required: Toolmaker/Skilled Machinist Experience with manual milling and grinding Toolmaking experience Manufacturing industry experience Good knowledge of tool room equipment Experience with Precision Engineering and working to tight tolerances Experience in the Manufacturing industry is desirable Experience working from engineering drawings Able to quality check own parts Able to work under pressure and to deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved Motivated and excellent team player
The Package: Manual Machinist Starting rate up to £25 per hour dependent on experience Day shifts are Mon Thurs, 08:00-16:30 Friday - 08:00-15:30 Pension 33 Days Holiday
