Our client is looking for a new addition to the team, who will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of all tooling dies, jigs, fixtures, and fittings for all tooling. This role involves initiating and implementing process improvements to increase output and efficiencies. Principal Duties

Manufacture, repair, and maintain all tooling and fixtures. Recommend improvements to current tooling to facilitate SMED techniques. Initiate and implement tooling improvements to enable the production processes to be as efficient as possible. Identify, initiate, and implement process improvements across all areas of production to increase output and efficiencies. Routine servicing and regrinding of press tools following the last-off procedure. Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and solve problems with minimal downtime. Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in the press or must be removed to the tool room for essential maintenance and repair work. Estimate the length of time required to complete a job and the likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales. Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management. Ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard. Personal Attributes

Ownership of issues from start to finish. Proactive in approach. Able to make pertinent decisions to determine the best course of action. Analytical and data-driven when solving problems. Team-focused, tolerant, and methodical. Able to work well under pressure. Highly conscientious, inquisitive, innovative, resourceful, and diligent with an eye for detail. Competent with oral and written communications. Good time management skills. Trained in all tool room machinery and tools. Days with an early finish on Friday. £14.25 per hour.
