We are seeking a proactive and skilled
Toolroom Engineer
to join a dynamic team. This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and improving all tooling and fixtures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring production processes are as efficient and effective as possible. Your ability to innovate and solve problems quickly will directly contribute to operational success. Key Responsibilities : Manufacture, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, and fixtures. Implement tooling improvements to support SMED techniques and enhance production efficiency. Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and minimize downtime. Conduct routine servicing and regrinding of press tools. Evaluate repair requirements and determine optimal solutions. Identify and implement process improvements across production. Maintain high work standards and prioritize health and safety. Report breakdown causes, equipment faults, and operational concerns to management. The Person
Essential Skills : Apprenticeship trained in toolmaking or equivalent experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly under tight production deadlines. Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, measurement techniques, and safe working practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical approach. Desirable Skills : Exposure to SMED techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing process improvements. Personal Attributes : Conscientious, resourceful, and detail-oriented. Effective communicator with excellent time management. Team-focused with the ability to work well under pressure. How to Apply
