We are looking for a manual/CNC lathe operator to join a growing manufacturing company in Great Dunmow. You will need to have experience working with manual and 2-axis CNC lathes, as well as being an all-rounder and helping out in other departments when required.
Your role will be to set the manual and CNC lathes, which will be producing components in various materials such as aluminium, steel, brass, and plastic. You will also be carrying out other tasks such as drilling and polishing.
Working hours will be 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 15:45 on a Friday! Starting salary will be circa £16ph but this will be dependent on previous experience. The company also offers eligibility for their annual bonus scheme based on company performance.
Duties include:
CNC and Manual turning Setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes Repairing tooling against drawings Inspection of incoming goods and tooling Working from engineering drawings Carrying out drilling, tapping, polishing, etc. when needed Helping out with general building maintenance when required
The company will also be relocating to a brand new purpose-built local facility in 2025, so you will be able to work in a new state-of-the-art facility!
